Welcome to our web site!
The Diamond Bar Friends of the Library is a non-profit, all-volunteer community service group dedicated to supporting the Diamond Bar Library, improving literacy and encouraging the love of reading. The Friends are a California registered non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
To support the Library, the Friends operate BasicallyBOOKS, a most unique bookstore at two locations: 23447 Golden Springs Drive, Diamond Bar, and at the Diamond Bar Library, 21800 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar. This store is staffed exclusively by volunteers and all of our gently used books are donated by generous individuals in our community. Please stop by BasicallyBOOKS, you will be surprised by what you will find, and you will be supporting your local library.
Each year in April, the Friends produce the popular Annual Wine Soirée and Benefit Auction, Diamond Bar's premier social event, to raise money for the library. From these proceeds, the Friends purchase books, periodicals, videos, and audio resources for the library, underwrite all children's summer reading programs, sponsor special programs for children, teens and adults, sponsor special programs that encourage literacy, and host Read Together Diamond Bar. Be sure to join us at this fun event!
We are a dynamic group of volunteers. We have projects and activities all year long and we welcome new members and volunteers. Please contact us to participate!
