About Us

The Diamond Bar Library is one of the most utilized libraries in the Los Angeles County Library system, and we need your help to maintain our book and media collections, purchase much needed supplies and equipment, underwrite library programs, and fund capital improvement projects.

The Wine Soirée and Benefit Auction is an annual fund raiser produced by the Diamond Bar Friends of the Library to support our library and literacy in the community. This wonderful event is now in its 30th year and typically draws hundreds of guests.

The Soirée provides guests the opportunity to sample wines from around the world, to savor food provided by local restaurants, to bid on live, silent and book auctions and to purchase raffle tickets for dozens of attractive prizes.

For the dress code, “California casual” attire is usually suggested, although guests will not feel out of place in a coat and tie or in jeans and Hawaiian shirts. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended.

Tickets are sold at the door but guests are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time online here: https://dblibraryfriends.org/wine-soiree/tickets/  Tickets are also available in the Diamond Bar Library and at the Friends’ used bookstore inside the library. Tickets purchased online will be held at Will Call.

Guests must be 21 or older to attend the Soirée. Our reception desk volunteers may ask to see proof of age if you appear to be less than 21.

The Friends are a registered 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and our tax ID number is 95-461164.
