The BEST bookstore in Diamond Bar!

Come find us, we are located inside the Diamond Bar Library at 21800 Copley Drive! Bookstore hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 AM -5 PM.

  • $5-a-bag book shelf. We’ve recently expanded this section so come check it out!
  • We also have specially priced book sets that make great gifts or collectors’ items.

Every season we will have a special themed basket for one lucky customer to win! Visit our bookstore, purchase a book, and enter to win the basket. One ticket per transaction can be entered into the opportunity drawing. “Cozy Comforts,” the winter season opportunity basket, is now on display at the bookstore. The drawing for the basket will be on Friday, December 13th.


 

Book Donation Guidelines

We are looking for new or gently used books in almost new to fair condition.

We don’t accept:

-Outdated (10+ years)  travel guides and non-fiction reference books
-Computer books and textbooks
-VHS and cassette tapes
-Magazines and encyclopedias
-Torn, yellow, bug-infested, and water damaged books

Bookstore Volunteers Needed

Interested in volunteering at our used bookstore? Read on for more information.
Duties:
  • Accept donations, write tax receipt upon request
  • Answer phone and walk-in customer inquiries
  • Record sales transactions and receive payments
  • Staff front desk and stock shelves
  • Tidy up store when needed (light cleaning, rearrange books, etc)
  • Sort donations

 

Requirements:

    • At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate (If you are under 18 please contact the Diamond Bar Library at (909) 861-4978 or walk in to speak to a staff member.)
    • Fluent in English
    • Must commit to a 3 hour shift within the assigned hours once a week or once every 2 weeks on a long-term basis.
    • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID19 (no personal or medical exemptions)
    • Must be willing to undergo a Live Scan background check

Diamond Bar Friends of the Library’s non-profit bookstore is a friendly place serving the community as a resource for school, work and pleasure reading at exceptionally low prices. It is staffed by volunteers and proceeds from the bookstores benefit the Diamond Bar Library. Gift certificates are available and make great birthday or special occasion gifts. Thanks to our generous donors, we have hundreds of high quality used books and media for sale. Stop by for great deals on books in all categories, including cooking, fiction, classics, reference, children’s and foreign language such as Chinese and Korean. We also have CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks available as well. The selection changes constantly as new donations are received – so drop by often! All our store merchandise is donated by the surrounding community.
